Client

Our client is a US company that is a leader in integrated payment processing solutions. The client is transforming the way businesses handle payments by providing a comprehensive set of technology driven solutions that enable seamless, secure and efficient transactions across many industries.

Position overview

You will contribute to quality assurance activities for a payment processing system based on WAY4. This is a long term full time assignment that involves manual testing of backend services, mobile and web applications, along with close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

You will collaborate with a distributed team of around 20 to 30 professionals who work within the European time zone. The team includes engineers, QA specialists, business analysts, and other roles who work together to deliver stable and reliable functionality.

This position requires working in the European time zone, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform manual QA activities throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in requirements analysis
Review and validate user story acceptance criteria, providing constructive suggestions
Collaborate with business stakeholders and the development team to ensure clear and testable requirements
Create, document, and execute detailed test cases based on project requirements
Plan and execute acceptance, regression, and smoke testing for various releases
Document and report testing activities, results, and defects
Support production release processes, ensuring quality and stability
Execute basic SQL queries to validate test results and extract necessary data
Generate or mock test data as needed to support testing efforts
Collaborate with the QA Automation team to align testing strategies and share insights

Requirements

2+ years of WA4 experience
Knowledge of the payments industry
5+ years of experience in Manual QA
3+ years of hands-on experience testing backend services (API, SOAP)
2+ years of experience testing web and mobile applications
Proficiency in using test management tools (e.g., TestRail or similar)
Solid understanding of SQL and ability to write queries
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large volumes of data
Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to teamwork
Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously develop professionally
