Position overview

As a Principal AI/ML Consultant within DataArt’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice, you will guide Healthcare Providers, Pharma, MedTech, Digital Health, and other industry organizations in transforming complex business challenges into practical AI‑driven solutions. Your work will span strategic advisory, use‑case discovery, stakeholder management, and ensuring that AI initiatives deliver measurable business value.

You will operate at the intersection of business strategy and advanced AI technologies, helping clients shape and execute AI adoption roadmaps. From clinical decision support and patient engagement platforms to drug discovery, clinical development, and operational optimization, you will play a key role in influencing how AI transforms healthcare delivery.

The estimated salary range for this position is 190,000 to 240,000 USD per year.

This role requires approximately 25% travel.

Responsibilities

Consult and Advise: Partner with Healthcare & Life Sciences executives and business leaders to identify high-impact AI opportunities aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Define AI Strategy: Develop AI adoption roadmaps, business cases, and ROI models for healthcare use cases.
Facilitate Workshops: Lead ideation sessions and stakeholder workshops to align technical possibilities with business priorities.
Bridge Business & Technology: Translate complex AI concepts into clear business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.
Prototype & Validate: Oversee rapid PoCs and pilots to demonstrate feasibility and value before scaling.
Evangelize Responsible AI: Guide clients on ethical, compliant, and secure AI adoption in regulated healthcare environments.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with DataArt’s AI Lab and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet both technical and business objectives.

Requirements

Proven experience in consulting or advisory roles within healthcare or life sciences.
Strong understanding of Healthcare and/or Life Sciences workflows, regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 13485, etc.), and industry challenges.
Ability to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions and articulate ROI to senior stakeholders.
Familiarity with technical AI concepts (Generative AI, LLMs, predictive analytics) and their business applications in Healthcare and/or Life Sciences.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills for executive-level engagements.
Understanding of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic architectural technical concepts.
Experience leading client-facing workshops, strategy sessions, or transformation programs.

Nice to have

Exposure to healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and integration strategies.
Prior experience in shaping AI governance or responsible AI frameworks.
