Position overview

Our client is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of next‑generation educational products used across the United States. This role involves building robust automation frameworks, driving quality initiatives across the development lifecycle, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact solutions for millions of learners.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain end-to-end automated tests (UI, API, integration)
Develop and evolve JS-based automation frameworks for web apps and backend services
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with parallel execution
Collaborate with product, frontend, backend, and DevOps teams on quality strategy
Identify quality risks early and drive improvements across the SDLC
Maintain clear test documentation and automation guidelines

Requirements

4+ years of experience in QA Automation
Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO
Solid API testing experience (REST; GraphQL is a plus)
Understanding of test architecture and automation best practices
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
