Project overview

The successful candidate will contribute to a strategic initiative aimed at building a centralized, scalable data ecosystem. This platform is designed to unify data architecture to support advanced analytics, comprehensive reporting, and data-driven decision-making for C-level executives.

Position overview

Joining a newly established multidisciplinary team, the Senior Business Analyst will act as a critical bridge between product, engineering, and operations. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders to define processes and translate high-level business needs into precise technical requirements, ensuring the seamless delivery of wealth management data products.

The candidate is able to work effectively with distributed global teams and can provide the required overlap with the EST time zone.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements for system integrations and data mapping; translate these into clear, detailed, and testable functional specifications and user stories.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define the functional scope of wealth management data products.
  • Manage project scope, dependencies, and requirements throughout the entire delivery lifecycle, providing clarity to engineering teams to reduce ambiguity.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage rollout planning to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Prepare templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting documentation to ensure structured and repeatable delivery.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure product adoption and identify areas for ongoing improvement.
  • Utilize AI-based tools to enhance efficiency in story writing, documentation, and data analysis tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in wealth or investment management, including a deep understanding of portfolio data and the end-to-end investment lifecycle in a regulated environment.
  • Extensive experience in process mapping, workflow documentation, and writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong background working within Agile frameworks and active participation in standard delivery ceremonies.
  • Superior problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis on complex system or process issues.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the confidence to engage both technical resources and senior business partners.

Nice to have

  • Professional certification such as CFA (or progress toward candidacy).
  • Technical exposure to industry tools including Tableau, Addepar, NetSuite, Salesforce, Morningstar, Bloomberg, UKG, or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data within relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
