Our client is a company that provides a platform for conducting remote qualitative research. The company offers tools that help businesses gather insights through moderated conversations, video interviews and real time feedback features.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a team working on a platform modernization project. The main focus of the role is to support the migration of a legacy application built with PHP/Yii to a modern stack based on Node.js and React.

The engineer will work closely with the team to refactor existing functionality, implement new services, and contribute to building integrations with external platforms.

Technology stack

Node.js, React, MySQL, PostgreSQL, REST API, PHP, Yii, Git, CI and CD tools

Responsibilities

Participate in the migration of a legacy PHP and Yii application to Node.js and React
Analyze legacy code and translate business logic into modern services
Develop backend services with Node.js
Implement frontend components using React
Contribute to building and maintaining platform integrations
Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
Collaborate with engineering, QA and product teams
Write clean, maintainable and testable code

Requirements

Proven experience working with Node.js
Experience developing interfaces with React
Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Understanding of REST APIs
Experience working with AI assisted development tools such as Cursor or similar

Nice to have

Experience with PHP
Experience with the Yii 1 framework
Experience participating in migration projects
Experience with modern development workflows such as Git and CI and CD tools
