Project overview
The engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the automation framework, as well as designing and developing tests for service contracts, integrations, and end-to-end scenarios.
Position overview
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and functional test scripts for desktop application using Robot Framework and Python
- Collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to define testing scope and acceptance criteria
- Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects in a timely manner
- Maintain and optimize the test automation framework to support regression and integration testing
- Ensure automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with project delivery timelines and quality goals
- Ensure full test coverage of critical banking workflows (e.g., payments, transactions, reporting)
- Contribute to continuous integration, continuous testing pipelines, test documentation and support testing best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation
- Proven experience in test automation for desktop applications
- Strong knowledge of Python language
- Experience using Robot Framework for automation of desktop application tests
- Experience testing enterprise-scale applications, preferably in banking or financial services
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques and SDLC/STLC processes
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
