Cloud platforms AWS, GCP, Azure, data lakes and lakehouse architectures, Spark, dbt, Airflow, SQL, streaming platforms such as Kafka or equivalent, REST APIs, CDC tools, vector databases, feature stores, data catalogs, data quality frameworks, CI CD tooling, AI assisted development tools
Responsibilities
Design and own the end to end enterprise data architecture for the hospitality data platform
Define data models, storage strategies, integration patterns, and platform topology aligned with operational and analytical needs
Architect and oversee data lake and lakehouse implementations including zone structures, retention policies, partitioning strategies, and access patterns
Design and govern end to end data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, and delivery across batch, micro batch, and streaming use cases
Define integration architectures across internal systems and third party hospitality platforms using ETL, ELT, streaming, CDC, and API based approaches
Design data infrastructure that enables AI and machine learning workloads including feature stores, training datasets, inference pipelines, and feedback loops
Actively use AI tools in daily work for architecture design, documentation, code generation, testing, and pipeline development
Promote AI adoption across the data engineering team and embed AI driven accelerators into delivery processes
Define and enforce data governance standards including lineage, cataloging, access control, data quality, and PII handling
Evaluate and recommend cloud platform services across AWS, GCP, and Azure based on client constraints and maturity
