Project overview

The Hospitality Distribution Platform is a high throughput and low latency system designed to distribute availability rates and inventory across multiple hospitality systems. The project handles complex concepts such as restrictions inventory blocks and state reconciliation using both event driven and polling based models. The platform is built on Microsoft technologies with a strong focus on scalable Azure infrastructure and reliable data consistency.

Team

You will work in a cross functional team of backend engineers QA engineers DevOps specialists and product stakeholders. The team collaborates closely using agile practices with shared ownership of quality and delivery outcomes.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with experience in the travel and hospitality domain to ensure the quality of complex backend integrations within a unified booking and marketing platform. You will be involved in validating integrations with Hotel PMS CRS and other hospitality systems while contributing to reliable and predictable software delivery in an agile environment.

Technology stack

.NET, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, REST APIs, event driven architecture, relational databases, CI CD pipelines

Responsibilities

Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for backend services and integrations
Execute manual and automated tests for complex data flows related to availability rates and inventory
Validate data consistency across distributed systems and multiple integration points
Identify document and track defects while collaborating with engineers on resolution
Contribute to test automation strategy and improve existing test coverage
Collaborate with product and engineering teams during sprint planning refinement and reviews
Support release activities by performing regression and integration testing

Requirements

Commercial experience in QA engineering with a focus on backend or integration testing
Experience in the travel or hospitality domain including PMS CRS or booking engines
Strong understanding of API testing and distributed systems behavior
Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data validation
Familiarity with agile development processes and defect management workflows
Experience working with Microsoft based technology stacks
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively within a team

Nice to have

Experience with test automation frameworks for .NET based systems
Exposure to event driven architectures and message based integrations
Experience testing systems deployed on Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of performance or load testing in high throughput environments
