Project overview

This project focuses on a modern platform that supports traveler safety, real time risk monitoring, and operational decision making for enterprise environments. The solution combines data integration, notification workflows, and analytics to improve visibility and response to travel related risks.

Team

You will work within a cross functional team that includes Product Managers, software engineers, UX designers, and operations specialists. The team follows a collaborative and iterative approach, with close alignment between business and technical stakeholders.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the design and delivery of a scalable traveler risk and duty of care platform. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business needs into structured requirements, support data integrations, and improve workflows that enhance traveler safety and operational efficiency.

Technology stack

REST APIs, Swagger, Postman, SQL, relational databases, XML, Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, Fresh Service, Fresh Desk, Smartsheet, GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct analysis of complex business problems and identify opportunities for automation
  • Gather, document, and validate functional and non functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational workflows and define scalable solutions
  • Design and support workflows related to traveler visibility, risk alerts, notifications, and reporting
  • Create diagrams and documentation that illustrate system processes and integrations
  • Support API and data integration efforts, including payload analysis and validation
  • Work with relational databases to verify transactional data using SQL queries
  • Assist with XML review, data mapping, and data integrity analysis
  • Coordinate testing activities including test cases, test plans, and user acceptance testing scenarios
  • Verify system functionality and ensure alignment with defined requirements
  • Collaborate with development teams on estimation, planning, and delivery
  • Prepare documentation including training materials and user guides
  • Support operational teams during implementation and post deployment activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the travel technology industry
  • Experience working with enterprise SaaS platforms and operational workflows
  • Experience writing business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience working with APIs using tools such as Swagger or Postman
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL queries
  • Experience with data mapping, XML analysis, or integrations
  • Experience with duty of care, risk management, or traveler safety platforms
  • Familiarity with GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, or Lucidchart
