Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services using Python and Django in production environments
- Contribute to modern React based frontend applications using current component patterns and hooks
- Design and deliver features end to end from concept through implementation, deployment, and iteration
- Use AI tools to accelerate development, automation, and product delivery
- Identify opportunities to replace manual or repetitive work with AI driven solutions
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system design, architecture, and production reliability
- Contribute to AWS based infrastructure and Kubernetes deployments
- Improve CI CD pipelines and support stable and reliable production systems
- Take ownership of production services with minimal day to day oversight
Requirements
- At least six years of professional software engineering experience working on production systems
- Production experience with Python and Django
- Strong experience in either JavaScript and React, including modern hooks and component architecture, or Kubernetes with production grade container based deployments
- Experience working with AWS services in cloud based environments
- Background in building, operating, and maintaining production systems
- Experience with API design, data modeling, and system level thinking
- Ability to make independent technical decisions and take responsibility for outcomes
- Ability to ramp up quickly in existing and complex codebases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive ownership approach
Nice to have
- Experience building AI powered products or integrations such as LLM based features, agents, or automation tools
- Startup or founder experience
- Experience working in fast moving teams with lightweight processes
