Position overview
This position requires full alignment with the EST time zone.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining both Python-based backend services and React-based front-end components for front-office applications.
- Build and enhance interactive user interfaces and seamlessly integrate them with backend APIs.
- Work with data processing and transformation pipelines utilizing Python and Pandas.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Support the implementation of new full-stack features, bug fixes, testing, and debugging under senior team guidance.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to team coding standards.
- Utilize standard SDLC tools (Git, Jira, CI/CD tools, Docker) in daily development workflows.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and support data validation tasks.
Requirements
- 0.5+ years of commercial experience in full-stack development.
- Good working knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, and modern front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS).
- Hands-on experience with Pandas for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with Git and standard SDLC practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proactive readiness to learn from feedback.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow technical guidance.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of financial markets, investment products, or fixed income concepts.
- Familiarity with React state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
- Basic exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Exposure to Docker or CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
- Experience working with financial datasets (Bloomberg, S&P, Moody’s, ICE, etc.), even at a coursework level.
- Academic or practical exposure to backtesting or data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of Java or C++.
