Project overview

A set of plugins for Jira enhances project management by enabling teams to track time, manage resources, plan capacity, and generate detailed reports directly within Jira—providing better visibility into workload, costs, and project performance

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a cloud product team. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to build and improve a large-scale cloud-based product used by enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate is someone who focuses not only on completing tasks but also on understanding user needs and delivering practical, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Java and related technologies.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Create unit tests and participate in integration or performance testing when needed.
Take part in code reviews.
Contribute to solving complex technical problems with attention to performance, security, and user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support product features.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in backend development of commercial web applications using Java.
Strong understanding of core computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, complexity).
Experience designing and working with APIs.
Experience building or supporting distributed and scalable systems.
Hands-on experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, or similar tools.
Good understanding of concurrency and multithreading in Java.
Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
Ability to work independently in a distributed team and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have

Experience with Kotlin.
Experience with performance optimization.
Experience contributing to technical design and specifications.
