Our clients ia a contract research organization (CRO) providing full‑service clinical trial management for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Project overview

The projects focus on delivering complex initiatives supporting clinical trial operations, data platforms, and digital or AI‑enabled solutions used across the clinical development lifecycle. The Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring timely, compliant, and high‑quality delivery while coordinating multiple stakeholders in a regulated environment.

Team

You will work with cross‑functional, geographically distributed teams that may include clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, software and data engineers, QA, and business stakeholders. The team operates in a structured delivery framework, often Agile or hybrid, with a strong focus on quality, regulatory compliance, and predictable delivery.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross‑functional project teams within a clinical research environment. You will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory expectations, and operational constraints typical for pharmaceutical and biotech domains.

This role requires strong delivery ownership, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and experience managing projects in complex, regulated environments. Familiarity with data, digital, or AI‑related initiatives is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and manage end‑to‑end project delivery in alignment with agreed scope, timelines, and budgets
Define and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations
Coordinate cross‑functional teams including clinical operations, data, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders
Act as the primary point of contact between the client and delivery teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication
Facilitate governance, status reporting, and stakeholder updates at appropriate levels
Monitor project progress, identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies
Manage change requests and evolving priorities while maintaining delivery commitments
Support Agile or hybrid delivery processes including planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure alignment between business requirements, technical implementation, and regulatory constraints
Oversee quality of delivery and ensure acceptance criteria are met before release
Support audit readiness and ensure appropriate project documentation is maintained

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering complex initiatives
Proven experience managing cross‑functional teams in structured or regulated environments
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with globally distributed teams
Strong ability to manage risks, dependencies, and changing priorities
Comfortable working with project tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Confluence, etc.)

Nice to have

Experience in clinical trials, life sciences, pharma, or CRO environments
Exposure to data, digital, or AI‑driven projects
Understanding of regulatory or compliance‑driven delivery (e.g., GxP awareness)
Experience managing vendor or third‑party dependencies
Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certification)
