Our client is one of the world's largest investment funds, managing hundreds of billions of dollars. The company's business is focused on several areas: private equity, venture capital, real assets, investment solutions, and global market strategies.

Project overview

The project focuses on improving the stability, quality, and reliability of a web-based portal by implementing automated testing practices and robust validation procedures. The team supports multiple product streams and aims to streamline quality assurance through intelligent automation and modern tooling.

Team

You will collaborate with a cross functional team that includes QA specialists, developers, and product representatives. The team follows Agile practices and maintains a collaborative environment with open communication.

Position overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing using Playwright. You will be involved in building, maintaining, and scaling automated test suites, improving test coverage across browsers and devices, collaborating with developers, and ensuring consistent quality across web products. This person will contribute to a reliable and scalable test automation approach while also leveraging AI tools to accelerate testing workflows.

Technology stack

Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing tools, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), Git, defect tracking tools

Responsibilities

Plan and implement automated UI and API tests using Playwright
Maintain and optimize existing automated test suites across browsers and devices
Perform manual testing where automation is not the highest-value approach
Collaborate with developers and QA specialists to identify test scenarios
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
Support test management practices: test plans, regression suites, defect tracking, and reporting
Investigate issues, analyze root causes, and document findings
Use AI tools to accelerate test creation, identify coverage gaps, and triage failures
Contribute to test documentation and reusable automation patterns

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation
Ability to write and maintain reliable, maintainable test scripts across browsers and devices
Experience with CI/CD integration of automated tests (e.g., GitHub Actions)
Experience with API testing and ability to automate both UI and backend validation
Comfortable working with Git and contributing to shared test repositories
Ability to identify high-value areas for automation vs. manual testing
Familiarity with test management practices: test plans, regression suites, defect tracking, and reporting

Nice to have

Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate test creation, debugging, and code review
Experience or strong interest in using AI to generate test cases, identify coverage gaps, or triage failures
Mindset oriented toward reducing manual QA effort through intelligent automation and tooling
