Client

Our client is a healthcare technology provider developing and operating an advanced EMR/EHR platform used by clinics and hospitals to streamline clinical workflows, improve patient care, and support regulatory compliance. The platform supports complex clinical processes, high volumes of structured medical data, and integrations across multiple healthcare sites.

Project overview

You will contribute to the analysis, adaptation, and configuration of an EMR platform for a large public healthcare environment, working closely with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders. Key initiatives include:

Analysis and consolidation of hundreds of clinical and administrative forms;
Optimization and standardization of healthcare workflows;
Alignment of local clinical processes with a scalable EMR product;
Support for hybrid environments involving on‑premise and cloud systems;
Close collaboration with on‑site healthcare teams.

This role requires on‑site presence in Monterrey, as regular visits to healthcare facilities are essential.

Position overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will act as the functional bridge between healthcare stakeholders and technology teams. You will be responsible for understanding real‑world clinical operations, translating them into clear functional requirements, and ensuring that the resulting solutions are efficient, compliant, and scalable. This is a hands‑on, consultative role suited for candidates with strong experience in EMR systems, hospital operations, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

Lead on‑site requirement elicitation through workshops, interviews, and process reviews with clinical and administrative users
Analyze existing clinical forms and workflows and propose optimized, consolidated solutions while ensuring no loss of critical data
Translate business and clinical needs into clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
Maintain and manage requirements and backlogs using Jira
Document functional specifications, process diagrams, and data requirements
Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and QA to clarify scope and support implementation
Validate requirements and support functional testing and user acceptance sessions
Support change management and user adoption during rollout phases
Ensure alignment with healthcare regulations, data governance principles, and information quality standards

Requirements

6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with enterprise or healthcare systems
Proven experience with EMR/EHR platforms and clinical workflows
Strong ability to write high‑quality user stories and acceptance criteria
Hands‑on experience managing backlogs and requirements in Jira
Expertise in process mapping, optimization, and standardization
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Availability to work on‑site in Monterrey, Nuevo León
Spanish fluent and used for daily communication
English at an intermediate level or higher for reading and collaboration with distributed teams

Nice to have

Experience in hospital operations, including clinical workflows, surgical scheduling, and patient records
Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and information quality
Familiarity with Lean Healthcare or continuous improvement methodologies
Experience in digital transformation initiatives within healthcare organizations
