Team

You will join a newly forming core team that will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations specialists. The team values transparency, ownership, and consistent communication. Collaboration includes regular syncs, shared documentation practices, and active involvement in delivery ceremonies.

Position overview

You will be involved in a long term engagement within a complex and meaningful environment at the intersection of Healthcare and Finance. The role focuses on building the Business Analysis function from the ground up and supporting the delivery of structured, data driven improvements. You will work closely with stakeholders, product teams, and engineering to define processes, translate business needs into requirements, and guide the team through the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Document current and future state workflows including roles, statuses, and service level agreements
  • Translate business needs into clear, detailed, and testable software requirements
  • Create and maintain epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and the prioritized backlog
  • Facilitate workshops to align business and technical stakeholders
  • Manage scope, dependencies, and requirements across the delivery lifecycle
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team clarification sessions
  • Provide clarification during implementation and reduce ambiguity in requirements
  • Coordinate validation activities including user acceptance testing and rollout planning
  • Prepare templates, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation for structured delivery
  • Define and track key performance indicators that support adoption and ongoing improvement
  • Collaborate with a client located in the PST time zone, which may require evening overlap for team members in Europe

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in a software development environment
  • Background in healthcare or experience with revenue cycle management in healthcare
  • Experience documenting processes and mapping detailed workflows
  • Experience writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience working with Agile teams and participating in delivery ceremonies
  • Experience facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing and rollout activities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and support PST time zone overlap

Nice to have

  • Experience establishing or shaping a Business Analysis function
  • Experience in both healthcare and finance related environments
  • Experience preparing structured delivery documentation
  • Familiarity with KPI design and measurement practices
