They deliver services in pensions, share registration, investments, and employee benefits, managing millions of shareholder records and processing billions in payments annually. Their secure online platform is trusted by millions to manage investments, access market insights, and handle shareholder services efficiently.

Project overview

This project focuses on a long term modernization of a large legacy system used for administration and payment related services in the investment and shareholder services domain. The legacy solution is built in Delphi and is being migrated to a modern .NET based architecture. The work includes reverse engineering, refactoring, and active use of AI assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

Position overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to drive the quality strategy for a large scale modernization initiative involving migration of a legacy system from Delphi to a modern .NET platform.

This project goes beyond standard QA and requires:
Deep validation of legacy business logic.
Ensuring functional parity between old and new systems.
Building a scalable QA approach from scratch.
Leveraging AI tools to optimize testing processes.

You will play a key role in defining how quality is ensured during a complex system transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall QA strategy for the modernization program
  • Ensure functional equivalence between legacy Delphi and new .NET systems
  • Build and implement test frameworks and processes from the ground up
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers
  • Design test approaches for migration phases including parallel runs regression and data validation
  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders
  • Identify risks in legacy logic and ensure proper test coverage
  • Introduce and scale test automation practices
  • Utilize AI tools such as Cursor Copilot and test generation tools to improve efficiency
  • Drive quality metrics reporting and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in QA including 2+ years in a Lead role
  • Strong background in both manual and automation testing
  • Experience building QA processes in complex or legacy systems
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle STLC
  • Experience with test strategy and test planning
  • Experience with risk based testing
  • Experience with API testing using Postman REST Assured or similar tools
  • Experience with UI test automation using Selenium Playwright Cypress or similar tools
  • Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience with Delphi based systems or legacy platforms
  • Experience in system migration or modernization projects
  • Knowledge of contract testing or integration testing strategies
  • Experience with performance testing using JMeter k6 or similar tools
  • Experience using AI tools in QA including test case generation and test data creation
