Project overview

Travel Platform is a large scale consumer web product that supports online holiday discovery and booking for a wide international audience. The project focuses on continuous platform evolution, scalability, and performance while supporting rapid national and international growth. Development is centered on modernizing the technology stack and improving user experience across the entire booking journey.

Team

You will work in a cross functional team that includes Full Stack Engineers, Product Owners, and Designers. The team follows a Kanban delivery model and collaborates closely on planning, implementation, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on shared ownership and clear communication.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a cross functional feature team working on a high traffic web platform. You will be involved in building and scaling customer facing features, contributing to architectural decisions, and improving engineering practices in a transparent and collaborative environment.

Technology stack

TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Scala, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, REST APIs, CDN solutions, analytics and monitoring tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and scale features for a high traffic consumer web platform using modern front end and back end technologies
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other engineers within a Kanban workflow
  • Build and maintain front end components using React and Next.js
  • Design and implement back end services using Node.js and Scala
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and long term technical improvements
  • Support continuous improvement of development processes, performance, and reliability
  • Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and shared engineering standards

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • More than five years of professional experience with TypeScript and React.js
  • Hands on experience with Node.js and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Practical experience with DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code using Terraform on Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of web platform challenges including CDNs, CMS solutions, networking, analytics, and cybersecurity
  • Experience working in collaborative, flat, and transparent team environments

Nice to have

  • Background in the travel or hospitality domain
  • Experience working on high traffic, large scale consumer websites
  • Experience with test automation and A B testing approaches
  • Familiarity with user tracking, analytics, and data driven product improvement
  • Interest or experience in applying AI and Large Language Models within web products
