DataArt’s flexible work culture supports work-life balance by allowing employees to adjust schedules around family needs, such as school routines and caregiving, improving the overall employee experience.

Being there for the people who matter most, having the flexibility to travel, relocate, feel safe, or simply handle everyday tasks without taking time off — work-life balance often shows itself in small but important moments. Based on real employee stories, this article explores how flexible and remote work at DataArt supports people in their daily lives, not just as a company policy, but as a lived experience.

I'm able to walk my daughter to school and pick her up later – and to be present for the small but meaningful moments at her school, without it ever conflicting with my work. The flexibility also extends to my well-being. I train Muay Thai early in the morning, and my session ends about 15 minutes before my workday starts. For me, remote work is what makes this balance between family, health, and career sustainable.
My senior pup, the one with the sweetest eyes in the world, was reaching the end of his journey. It was painful and overwhelming. The only—and the best—thing I could do was to accompany my nearly 15‑year companion as he left this world peacefully, without pain, and surrounded by love. Thank you, DataArt, for giving me the flexibility to walk those last steps alongside my friend.
At the time I joined DataArt, I was caring for my father and needed a remote role that would allow me to balance my responsibilities at home while continuing my career. DataArt gave me that opportunity, and I’m truly grateful for the support I received during that period.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work from 18 cities across more than 8 countries! I’m passionate about traveling and wellbeing. At DataArt, I’ve found the flexibility to build my own journey, maintain a digital nomad lifestyle, and continue to grow professionally.
When the war was raging, the Dnipro office accomplished tremendous work organizing transfers, including for family members. The duty hours here are negotiable, the work schedule can be modified, and there are opportunities to switch locations. From my standpoint, work here is mostly associated with a feeling of relief, rather than stress and unpredictability.
The balance this flexibility provides is felt in a million little ways that happen every day. Every time I hear a friend say, "I've taken a day off so I can go to the bank, etc.," I think how lucky I am that my days off are spent on really taking a break instead of taking care of yet another obligation.
A couple of weeks ago, I was subjected to surgery. Even though I was going through a scary moment in my life (it was my first surgery!!!), my manager helped me pass this with support and flexibility. The 5 health days off and 20 days of vacation have allowed me to recover comfortably and to take care of myself with the support of my team!
Remote work played a crucial role in helping me transition back to work after my maternity leave. Being able to see my kid between meetings, just knowing I was in the next room and not an hour away, what a relief! This flexibility allowed me to bring my best self to work while being present for my child during this important time of growth and change.
