Project overview

The project centers on delivering end to end eCommerce solutions using leading composable and SaaS commerce platforms for enterprise clients across multiple industries. The work includes pre sales consulting, solution design, platform evaluations, and technical enablement throughout the sales lifecycle.

Team

You will collaborate with a cross functional team that includes sales managers, solution architects, developers, delivery managers, and marketing analysts. The team works in close partnership with technology vendors and clients, combining consultative sales with hands on technical expertise and structured delivery practices.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior eCommerce Sales Engineer to join a digital commerce team focused on designing and delivering scalable B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business goals and technical delivery, supporting sales activities while shaping solution architecture for enterprise clients. You will work closely with sales, delivery, and technology partners to define, present, and evolve modern commerce platforms.

Shopify, BigCommerce, OroCommerce, Contentful, PHP, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, MACH architecture, composable commerce, ERP systems, CRM systems, PIM solutions, CI CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a product expert and technical consultant within the digital commerce practice.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of commerce platforms and partner ecosystems, including capabilities, integrations, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and delivery teams to understand client requirements and design tailored eCommerce solutions.
  • Lead and support discovery workshops, needs analysis sessions, and RFP or RFI responses for enterprise clients.
  • Deliver technical presentations and solution demonstrations to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Provide pre sales guidance on architecture, integrations, customizations, scalability, and performance considerations.
  • Prepare high level solution documentation, cost estimates, and technical inputs for proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment from pre sales through implementation and go live.
  • Support platform migrations, upgrades, and performance assessments, recommending infrastructure improvements when needed.
  • Collect and communicate customer and market feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on eCommerce technology trends and platform roadmaps to support best in class client solutions.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events and partner engagements.

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Sales Engineer, Pre Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant in B2B or B2C eCommerce.
  • Hands on experience designing and presenting solutions using platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, OroCommerce, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to design and explain modern eCommerce architectures, including cloud based, modular, MACH, and composable approaches.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of system integrations involving ERP, CRM, and PIM solutions using REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Experience contributing to sales processes, including discovery, solution design, RFP or RFI responses, and high level estimations.
  • Strong client facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluent verbal and written English skills suitable for customer facing work.

Nice to have

  • Relevant eCommerce or platform certifications.
  • Experience with OroCommerce or PHP development.
  • Knowledge of B2B commerce features such as corporate accounts, buyer roles, complex pricing, and approval workflows.
  • Familiarity with order management systems, multi site or multi language deployments, PIM platforms, iPaaS solutions, and eCommerce analytics tools.
  • Strong visualization and solution presentation skills.
