This role operates within an enterprise account under a staff augmentation engagement model, supporting long-running initiatives that require strong governance, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight.

The Senior Project Manager acts as a trusted partner for the client, ensuring clarity, predictability, and alignment across teams, while adapting delivery practices to the realities of staff-augmented environments.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong experience in enterprise IT environments and a solid technical background that enables them to understand client needs, assess generic role requests, and guide the identification of appropriate technical profiles.

The role combines delivery governance, account-level administration, and people management, requiring close interaction with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, HR, Finance, and Recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Act as a key point of coordination between client needs and internal teams.
  • Support the definition and onboarding of delivery teams in collaboration with HR and recruiting teams.
  • Manage team-related topics including performance follow-up, feedback, and professional development.
  • Bring strong delivery governance capabilities, including planning, estimation, and tracking, activating them when required by the engagement context.
  • Ensure transparency and predictability across initiatives without imposing unnecessary process overhead.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation activities at account level.
  • Remove impediments that affect team performance or client satisfaction.
  • Provide clear and regular status reporting to client and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage account administrative activities, including:
  • Billing and invoicing coordination
  • Delivery and financial reporting
  • Candidate pipeline follow-up and staffing coordination
  • Enable effective communication and information flow across teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement to increase delivery quality and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing IT projects, or 5+ years as a Project Manager with a strong technical background.
  • Experience working in IT outsourcing or consulting companies with large enterprise clients.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern delivery models.
  • Ability to understand technical contexts and evaluate client role requests, even when requirements are high-level or generic.
  • Proven experience leading planning, estimation, and tracking activities, with the ability to adapt their use to different delivery models (including staff augmentation).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills (motivation, feedback, conflict resolution).
  • Experience with project tracking, reporting tools, and delivery metrics.
  • Strong client communication and expectation management skills.
  • Proactive, structured, and delivery-oriented mindset.
  • Native-level Spanish.
  • Good spoken English (spoken and written).
