Position overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead the technical extraction, processing, and visualization of complex datasets. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, requiring a professional who can build robust Azure data pipelines while delivering high-impact reports in Power BI and SSRS. The successful candidate will act as a technical advisor, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable institutional insights.

  • Design, build, and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS, adhering to best practices for data visualization and presentation.
  • Analyze business requirements to design and adapt data models; build and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines to streamline data flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve technical issues, provide progress updates, and deliver high-quality end-to-end service.
  • Provide specialist advice and informal mentoring to junior team members and non-technical stakeholders to enhance data literacy across the project.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL skills (Joins, Grouping, Window Functions) and experience with Stored Procedure development.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, database design patterns, and Data Mapping/Documentation (STTM).
  • Extensive experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SSRS, and Power BI (including DAX expressions and dataflow management).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical complexities into clear business recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of data management standards, procedures, and industry best practices.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipeline development (including parameters, variables, and Key Vault).
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Blob storage, and file storage solutions.
  • Basic familiarity with Azure DevOps, including Wiki documentation and version control.
  • A proactive interest in emerging data trends and the evolving landscape of business intelligence.
