Project overview

A principal role that is responsible for the solution architectures focused on the Data context. Specific attention is paid to the following areas: DG and DM, data structures, modeling aspects, data security practices, architectural practices, integration patterns, non-functional requirements in the data context.

Operating remotely and in person in numerous R&D centers, Center of Competence drives innovations in data & big data that ensure rapid expansion of our domain and technical expertise and greater customer satisfaction. Industry experience is preferably in Finance, such as asset management, insurance, or capital markets.

This position requires the ability and willingness to travel for business purposes up to 3 to 7 times per year, with trips typically lasting 1 to 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Drive direct communication with business stakeholders.
  • Elaborate on all technical aspects for the development team and justify architectural decisions.
  • Lead solution implementation from requirements gathering and goal definition through to production go live.
  • Guide clients through complex data transformation initiatives and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Participate in the full sales and pre sales lifecycle.
  • Lead solution architecture evaluation and assessment activities.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of work experience in a data architecture, technology, consulting and engineering leadership role or 7-10+ delivered projects, programmes or initiatives
  • Hands on experience driving data and analytics projects, programs, or engagements, including interacting with customers, managing expectations, and presenting solutions and project deliverables to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong foundations in Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and DataOps, including modern data architectures, the modern data stack, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with leading cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks, as well as open source and vendor data and analytics tools and technologies.
  • Experience designing and building data platforms and data products, with the ability to lead data programs and engineering or delivery teams.
  • Strong knowledge of data management, architecture, and engineering fundamentals, including data modeling, data quality, metadata management, data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse, data mesh, and data fabric patterns, distributed systems, and building data pipelines, including ETL and ELT design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Comfortable operating at a strategic level while remaining close enough to technical details to add value to clients and team members.
  • Experience in the finance domain.
  • Experience supporting sales and pre sales activities.
  • Proficient English language skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in consulting or professional services organizations, with an understanding of sales engineering, consulting, and pre sales engineering roles.
  • Experience in consultative sales and/or sales engineering within Data and Analytics.
  • Knowledge of finance industry trends and the ability to develop and articulate value propositions for Data and Analytics solutions.
