Project overview

This project focuses on migrating and operating enterprise applications on AWS, with a strong emphasis on modernizing .NET workloads and building automation using Python. The goal is to improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency through cloud native practices.

Team

You will be part of a cross functional team including cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, and application developers. The team collaborates closely to support application lifecycle management, infrastructure automation, and ongoing platform improvements in an agile delivery environment.

Position overview

We are looking for a Senior AWS Engineer with Python expertise and experience hosting .NET applications on AWS. You will support the design, deployment, and operation of cloud native and migrated workloads, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable environments. In this role, you will work closely with development and platform teams to enable smooth application hosting and cloud adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage AWS infrastructure to support .NET applications
  • Deploy and maintain .NET workloads on AWS environments
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python
  • Implement and maintain CI CD pipelines for application delivery
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance in the cloud
  • Ensure security best practices including IAM roles, network configuration, and access control
  • Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot performance or availability issues
  • Support migration of on premises applications to AWS

Requirements

  • Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM
  • Strong knowledge of Python for automation and scripting
  • Experience hosting and managing .NET applications on AWS
  • Experience with CI CD tools and version control systems such as Git
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and networking concepts
  • Experience working in DevOps or cloud engineering environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Windows based workloads in AWS
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and modern application design principles
