Project overview

DataArt is a global software engineering firm and a trusted technology partner for market leaders and visionaries. Our Betting & Gaming (BnG) practice works with the world's leading operators, platforms, and suppliers across sports betting, iGaming, lottery, and emerging verticals such as prediction markets. We deliver technology-led transformation at scale, combining deep engineering and domain expertise with AI-Native delivery powered by our proprietary platform Artisyn.

Position overview

We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive growth across our BnG practice. In this role, you will leverage DataArt's deep engineering and AI expertise to address practice-specific challenges from platform modernisation and games & experience delivery to compliance-by-design, responsible gaming, fraud and AML, and AI-Native operator transformation for Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators across the UK, EU, and US markets.

This position involves working with complex business challenges in the regulated gambling sector, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and supporting clients as they improve operations and gain deeper insights through data driven and AI enabled innovation. The role includes advising clients on transformation initiatives, applying a proven background in technology consulting sales within the betting and gaming domain, and bringing an established network of senior operator relationships to accelerate DataArt's new-logo growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth across the BnG practice, focusing on data, AI, and engineering solutions that address practice challenges such as platform modernisation, real-time games & sportsbook delivery, AI-driven personalisation, responsible gaming and compliance, fraud and AML detection, and AI-Native operator transformation.
  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities. Build a robust pipeline by targeting and engaging BnG prospects — Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators, platform providers, B2B suppliers, and emerging vertical players such as prediction market operators — and converting leads into long term clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client executives at CxO and VP level across operators, platforms, and suppliers. Serve as a trusted advisor on innovative, outcome focused data and AI offerings, and influence decision makers by articulating how solutions support their strategic goals.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends in the BnG space — including the UK Gambling Act review reforms, AI in regulated environments, responsible gambling technology, payments and open banking innovation, crypto and tokenisation, and emerging verticals such as prediction markets — and translate this knowledge into tailored value propositions.
  • Lead the end to end sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure, including qualifying opportunities, coordinating with technical teams on PoCs and fixed-price MVPs, and leading proposal development. Champion DataArt's PoC wedge commercial model — small entry deals (Data Discovery, AI Readiness Assessment, 4–6 week PoC) that convert into larger MVPs and ongoing delivery engagements.
  • Drive contract negotiations and pricing discussions with clients, aiming for win-win agreements. Successfully close deals to meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and profitability goals.
  • Activate AWS co-sell motion where applicable, working with AWS partner managers to leverage MAP co-funding.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of enterprise technology sales or IT consulting business development experience within the betting and gaming sector, with a proven track record of selling complex, project-based solutions with long sales cycles and high-value deals.
  • Deep domain understanding of the regulated gambling industry — including operator business models, the regulatory landscape (UKGC, MGA, Gibraltar, US state regulators, EU frameworks), platform ecosystems, sportsbook and iGaming product stacks, and the commercial dynamics between operators, platforms, and B2B suppliers.
  • A demonstrable track record of winning Tier 1 BnG operators as new clients — for example, Entain, Bet365, Kindred Group, Betsson Group, William Hill / Evoke, BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars Digital, Bally's, or equivalent. Experience that broadens DataArt's portfolio beyond our existing relationships is particularly valued.
  • An established personal network of senior decision-makers — CTOs, Chief Product Officers, Heads of Data and AI, Heads of Trading, VPs of Engineering, and Heads of Compliance — within Tier 1 and Tier 2 BnG operators, ready to be activated from day one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with superb presentation and negotiation abilities. Adept at consultative selling — able to translate complex technical solutions into clear business benefits for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in consultative sales, crafting strategic solutions and presenting complex technical concepts in a compelling, accessible manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-driven, with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Capable of independently developing account strategies and driving them to success.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the agility to adapt to changing market conditions and the creativity to identify new growth opportunities. Comfortable with the PoC wedge commercial model — opening accounts with small entry deals that scale through demonstrated value.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment, collaborating with distributed teams and clients across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies impacting BnG — such as AI-driven personalisation and player protection, large language models and agentic AI in regulated workflows, real-time data and trading platforms, cloud-native sportsbook and casino architectures, and AWS-based engineering — and enthusiasm for staying updated on tech trends.
  • Comfortable representing DataArt at senior industry events, including curated invite-only summits (Gaming Leaders' Summit, iGX Summit, EGR Power 50, AI Gaming Forum) and major trade shows (ICE, SBC Summit, iGB Live).
  • High level of integrity, customer focus, and commitment to delivering value, with a proven ability to build trust and long-term partnerships.
  • UK-based, with the ability to travel within the UK, EU, and occasionally the US for client meetings and industry events.
