The Engineering Team Lead (ETL) plays a key role in the organization’s digital transformation, leading engineering excellence within a multidisciplinary squad. The role ensures delivery of high-quality digital solutions aligned with product strategy and measurable business impact.

The ETL combines strong technical leadership, product mindset, and people development to drive scalable, resilient, and secure systems across the digital ecosystem.

Position overview

We are looking for a Technical Lead – Java who acts as a multiplier of technical excellence within a squad. This role blends architecture design, hands-on technical guidance, product alignment, and team development.

The ETL is accountable for the full technical lifecycle—from architecture and design to execution, reliability, and continuous improvement—ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions built on modern cloud-native practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient architectures using cloud-native principles.
  • Ensure clean code, technical debt control, and adherence to development standards.
  • Drive DevOps, CI/CD, and microservices best practices.
  • Align technical decisions with product vision and measurable business outcomes.
  • Implement observability (logs, metrics, tracing) and SRE practices to ensure system reliability.
  • Lead incident response processes with blameless post-mortems and corrective actions.
  • Mentor engineers and foster psychological safety, autonomy, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to prioritize value-driven solutions.
  • Promote continuous learning using metrics such as DORA and reliability indicators.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Java and REST API design.
  • Solid background in architecture design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with GCP and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of API security and secure data handling practices.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jira.
  • Strong understanding of product strategy, outcome-driven development, and Product Mindset.
  • Experience implementing observability and SRE practices.
  • Proven ability to lead technical direction within Agile environments.
  • Fluency in Spanish; intermediate English for documentation and collaboration.
