Client

Our client is a financial services company working on a secure digital banking platform.

Team

You will join a cross functional DevOps and cloud engineering team that includes DevOps engineers, cloud architects, backend developers, and reliability specialists. The team collaborates closely, follows iterative delivery practices, and maintains a structured approach to stability, security, and automation.

Position overview

You will work on a secure Banking Infrastructure Platform that supports core digital banking services. The platform enables reliable cloud operations, automated deployments, and stable environments for customer facing and internal banking applications.

The working schedule is aligned with the UK time zone (9am to 5:30pm UK time) and involves participating in on-call shifts if required.

This position includes a sign-in bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design cloud infrastructure using AWS services
  • Develop internal automation tools and services using Go
  • Create and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform
  • Configure and improve CI and CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support deployments and environment stability
  • Operate and monitor cloud based systems and propose improvements
  • Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure components and procedures
  • Participate in incident analysis and contribute to long term improvements
  • Apply security practices for cloud services and infrastructure

Requirements

  • Experience in a senior DevOps engineering role
  • Hands on experience designing, deploying, and operating AWS infrastructure
  • Proficiency in the Go programming language
  • Experience with Terraform or another infrastructure as code tool
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to work with Linux based systems
  • Experience with CI and CD tools
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals in cloud environments
  • Ability to collaborate within cross functional teams

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS Lambda
  • Familiarity with distributed tracing tools
  • Experience with service mesh technologies
  • Understanding of security practices for regulated industries
  • Background in platform engineering or internal tooling
